Position: Digital Officer

Overview
Siyemi Learning, a medical education company, specialising in continuing medical education (CME) and continuing professional development (CPD) for healthcare professionals located in Manchester, UK, currently has an exceptional opportunity for a Digital Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the company with control of its digital and online collateral, including online presentation of websites and eLearning, to design elements, and data analysis and control. All activities being integral to the support of the development and delivery of accredited CME activities (live and online).

The role provides the opportunity for growth and development for positions of greater responsibility within the company.

Role to include the following

Digital project support

  • Manage company learning management system (LMS)
  • Liaise with LMS vendor to develop/manage LMS portals
  • Work with content specialists to build/publish online courses within the LMS
  • Run LMS reports on course and learner metrics
  • Manage company and project-specific social media channels
  • Manage web domains and email boxes.

Design support

  • Create/support preparation of digital and print meeting materials: online registrations, evaluations, handouts, etc.
  • Basic video editing for interview and promotional materials (i.e. YouTube/Vimeo and social).

Data management and analytics

  • Monitor web analytics across platforms
  • Data management (e.g. SurveyMonkey results, evaluation data)
  • Database management.

Other

  • Manage external vendors for design, eLearning, internet services
  • Company-wide document management and digital quality assurance (QA)
  • Monitor progress of own project components through project management, editorial, and creative processes
  • Participate in project teams where digital components are required.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide support to internal team members and external partners
  • Attention to detail including a good eye for graphic and digital design
  • Capacity for problem solving: anticipating, initiating and resolving project issues

Position: CME Activity Executive

Overview
We are looking for a CME Activity Executive to look after the project management side of our programmes. Someone who is flexible, open-minded, independent, driven, enthusiastic, happy to work independently, but contributing to a close-knit team, entrepreneurial in spirit, yet meticulous to detail. You will be part of the team that takes ultimate responsibility for what is being created and presented. You will be expected to speak knowledgeably with leading medical experts, and negotiate with senior people in their field, but keep an eye on the detail: make sure projects run to schedule, keep people informed of progress, manage external suppliers, and work within strict budgets that you control.

Key duties

  • – Project planning and development
  • – Cost estimation, financial reporting and scheduling
  • – Project traffic control
  • – Risks and issue management
  • – Project closure including the capture of lessons learned
  • – Briefing and managing third party contractors
  • – Database management, including co-ordinating scheduled email campaigns.

Desired skills and experience

  • – Project management skills including project planning and monitoring, creation of cost estimates, logistics management and financial management
  • – Ability to write clearly and support in the generation of documentation
  • – A good eye for detail, whether written or visual design
  • – Experience of, or understanding of, the development of independent education programmes including CME accredited programmes
  • – Experience or understanding of, the fundamentals of educational design
  • – Comfortable with computers and able to learn new programmes quickly (the organisation uses Macs)
  • – Database skills including database management and an understanding of the principles of good data management
  • – Experience of communicating with medical experts on a regular basis
  • – Ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team
  • – Educated to at least first degree in biomedical science or similar
  • – Willingness and ability to learn quickly

Position: CME Scientific Manager

Overview
We are looking for a CME Scientific Manager to look after the management of the scientific content of our programmes. Someone who is flexible, open-minded, independent, driven, enthusiastic, happy to work independently, but contributing to a close-nit team, entrepreneurial in spirit, yet meticulous to detail. You will be part of the team that takes ultimate responsibility for what is being created and presented. You will be expected to support leading medical professionals in the development of effective, accurate and un-biased scientific content of CME programmes, speak knowledgably with people of all levels, make sure projects run to schedule, ensure that scientific content delivers in the way it should.

Key Duties

  • Support leading medical experts with the development and delivery of high quality education
  • Deliver the full scope of scientific services, within or outside of personal areas of therapy expertise
  • Lead medical professionals involved in the delivery of educational content to implement CME good practice procedures
  • Ensure CME compliance standards are met
  • Establish/develop and maintain relationships with leading medical experts
  • Make presentations to clients/medical professionals/third party organisations, as required.

Desired skills and experience

  • Degree level or higher in a biomedical science, with depth and breadth of editorial experience
  • A track record of developing detailed and potentially complex content across a variety of therapeutic areas
  • Editorial skills
  • Experience of working with leaders in their field and of collaborative working
  • Experience of, or an understanding of, the fundamentals of educational design
  • Experience of, or an understanding of, compliance standards in the development of independentcontent, including CME programmes
  • Experience of, or an understanding of, the development of independent education programmesincluding CME accredited programmes. For example, an understanding of the process of needs assessment, educational design and outcomes measurement
  • Experience of, or an understanding of, the development of content for independent educational grants
